Working as a Video Editing intern with Canyon Entertainment Group for the Music Industry has been an enriching experience. I've had the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects aimed at enhancing the presence of Girl Pow-R band and promoting their training programs. The company provided valuable resources and guidance throughout, allowing me to utilize software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, Spotify for Artists, and CapCut to create engaging content. One highlight was working on grant applications to secure funding for an artistic training trip to Los Angeles, demonstrating the company's commitment to supporting artistic growth. Regular meetings with the internship coordinator ensured alignment with project goals and provided opportunities for feedback and collaboration. Overall, my time with Canyon Entertainment Group has been rewarding, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the success of Girl Pow-R and gain valuable experience in the music industry.

This internship has given me an incredible amount of experience in pretty much all areas of Human Resources. With transitioning into a new career, this internship has allowed me to apply the knowledge I am learning in my course to real world experience. I had a great learning experience working for Canyon Entertainment Group. The managers are supportive and patient. I learned to use different software to promote content on the website. I also developed skills that would help me land a job after I graduate.

There were usually tasks for me to work on in the Video Editing section, and the Sound Editing coordinator eagerly gave feedback on what I sent him edited podcasts. However, I did not receive feedback for promos I did on music videos, and I would have preferred to receive it to know how well I was on track. There were also no tasks available for a few weeks when I was almost finished my hours. While I understand it's because people were busy, I would have preferred to receive information on that. However, Dawn and others were eager to help ad answer questions during our weekly meetings and by email or message.
