It was a novel experience collaborating with the Wouessi Inc. on the TenderTech procurement analysis project. Throughout the project, the team was extremely committed to data-driven decision-making and emphasized the strategic significance of procurement for developing the business. Their willingness to work collaboratively and interact with innovative tools, such as interactive dashboards and analytics-based tender targeting, helped align their research with their business goals. From the Procurement and Inventory Management perspective, I gained better understanding of the strategies SMEs like Wouessi Inc. undertake for the procurement of public sector contracts, especially with limited funds. Their focus on efficiency, preparedness of the suppliers (i.e., certification and bid documentation), and platform enhancement revealed the challenges of small firms that work with complex procurement systems. Overall, the experience has improved my practical skills of procurement trend analysis, evaluation of the suppliers' capabilities, and stakeholder-focused reporting."
