Details

This project aims to develop a new hire onboarding process and intranet template for two nonprofit organizations and one small boutique agency. The goal is to streamline the onboarding process using Google Sites, which is already integrated into the organizations' Google Workspace. Students will focus on creating efficient and user-friendly templates that cater to the specific needs of IT departments while ensuring ease of use for new hires. By customizing existing templates, students will apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing their understanding of process optimization and user experience design. The project encourages critical thinking about how to improve operational efficiencies and meet user needs effectively.

The three organizations are:

www.foodtrucksofcanada.org (nonprofit)

www.janaray.ca (small agency)

Deliverables

The deliverables for this project include a customized Google Sites template for onboarding and intranet use, tailored to each organization's specific requirements. Students will provide a detailed report outlining the process improvements and user experience enhancements made. Additionally, a presentation will be prepared to showcase the final templates and the rationale behind the design choices.
