Details

The goal of this project is to build a detailed employee life cycle journey map to identify gaps in training and development that can lead to improved performance of new and existing employees. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Analyzing existing employee data to identify gaps in training and development.


- Developing a training and development plan aligned with the organization’s competencies.


- Creating a training plan for training new employees, which could include company on-boarding and skills required on-the-job.


- Creating a training plan for training existing employees on new processes or procedures (i.e. security awareness, new products), or to support succession planning efforts in the organization.


- Creating a needs analysis plan that can be taken forward and implemented (e.g. templates for surveys, questions, etc.).


- Creating a high-level plan for Leadership Development, Career Development, Training for Diverse Employees (e.g. leadership development training, career development guide, mentorship or coaching program for women, minorities, etc.).


Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


- Understanding of existing employee data and gaps in training and development.


- Development of a training and development plan aligned with the organization’s competencies.


- Creation of a training plan for training new and existing employees.


- Creation of a needs analysis plan that can be taken forward and implemented.


- Creation of a high-level plan for Leadership Development, Career Development, Training for Diverse Employees.



Final deliverables should include:


- All source code.


- A written report explaining the design process and outcomes.
