Our company is developing a website for our customers to interact with products. The website welcomes hundreds of users every day, each with different experiences and preferences. We would like a group of students to support us with real-time support of language translation. These recommendations could require real-time language development.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

• Familiarizing yourself with the product goals and developing a first version of the web-app.
• No-code technologies are welcome while prototyping.
• Researching flaws and limitations with the proposed goals and suggesting assertively any updates or feature additions / removals to the solution.
• Developing datasets and future steps that are critical for the development.
• Iterating and improving tested prototype models.

By the end of the project, students should be able to demonstrate:

• Understanding of products
• Understanding of machine learning and recommendation engine technologies
• Production of recommendations using prototype models
• Web-app development

Bonus steps would include:

• Testing prototype models with users and iterating designs to improve them

Final deliverables should include

• Field tested prototype.
• Recommendations supporting the model’s validity, which may be assessed subjectively.
• A written report describing the technologies that were used, the challenges that were faced, the model’s final outcomes, and recommendations for the project’s next steps.
