Designing a Presentation on Therapeutic Horticulture for Organizational Wellness
The objective of this project is to develop an evidence-informed 50-minute presentation titled "Aligning Therapeutic Horticulture Programs with Organizational Wellness Objectives". The presentation will clearly communicate how therapeutic horticulture programs can align with organizational wellness goals across healthcare, senior living, and community settings. Tasks and Activities: Students will: Conduct a review of literature and case studies on therapeutic horticulture, focusing on measurable outcomes such as resident engagement, cost savings, staff retention, and health improvements. Research best practices in wellness programming within senior living and healthcare sectors to understand alignment opportunities. Analyze examples of successful therapeutic horticulture programs and distill insights into presentation slides. Collaborate to refine key messaging and ensure the presentation is clear, accessible, and persuasive to non-technical audiences (e.g., executives and wellness directors). Provide copywriting support to ensure tone and structure are engaging and professional. Deliverables: A polished slide deck presentation (Canva) using our template (minimal design work required) with speaker notes. A one-page handout or infographic for attendees summarizing key takeaways and evidence-based benefits. Optional: social media post or email draft promoting the session to a professional audience.
