
InnWIL Product and Service Innovation: New Launch or Enhancement (Technology Based)

Seneca Polytechnic is seeking partners for the Innovation Work-Integrated Learning (InnWIL) program , designed to provide students with hands-on experience developing intrapreneurial skills by tackling real-world challenges. Students will work in specialized or interdisciplinary teams to launch a new product / service or improve an existing product / service through market research and the development of a comprehensive, innovative launch plan. Students come from various backgrounds including business, marketing, human resources, software engineering, software development, technology management, database applications, and data science & analytics. All students bring a strong foundation in problem-solving, research, and project management, along with experience using design and systems thinking methodologies.

Innovation Project by team of 5 Business Students
Seneca Polytechnic’s Innovation Work-Integrated Learning (InnWIL) program connects a small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) with 5 students eager to develop intrapreneurial skills by tackling real-world challenges. These learners bring a strong foundation in problem-solving, research, and project management, along with experience using design and systems thinking methodologies. Five students are connected with an SME who can provide an authentic business challenge and hands-on learning that fosters innovation. SMEs are expected to engage with learners, guide their efforts through a one-on-one, share relevant information, attend the final presentation virtually, and provide constructive feedback via the Riipen platform.
